USTA leagues run on a fixed team schedule. Los Angeles tennis leagues on Play Tennis LA are flex: you join at your rating, challenge anyone in the league, and pick match times in the app. No team captain and no rigid weekly slot.

Anyone in the league can challenge any other player. Send a challenge through the mobile app, coordinate your match time and court via in-app messaging, then play your match when you are both ready.

There is no minimum. Play as often as you want — the more you compete, the more points you earn and the higher you climb. Stay active by accepting challenges and trying to play at least once a week.

The final three weeks of the season are playoffs. Top-ranked players qualify for a single-elimination tournament, with prizes awarded to the top finishers. Rankings are based on total points earned during the season.

Yes. New players can join after the season has begun. You will start at the bottom of the rankings and can climb by winning matches and earning points.

There is no subscription. Each season is a one-time payment to participate — you only pay when you sign up for that season.

If the league does not have enough players to run a viable season, we will issue a full refund to everyone who signed up.
